About Me

I practise as a counsellor and psychotherapist with individuals, couples and groups from a central part of Norwich.

The way I work takes into account the whole person – including the body and spirit – not just the thinking part of you. If you are looking for a counsellor in Norwich who is not limited to just one school of psychotherapy, then my way of working might suit you.

I use what is called an Integrative approach, combining an accredited training in Humanistic Counselling with influences from other therapeutic approaches that I have also studied, trained in and/or participated in myself. These include Body Awareness, Character Typology (Enneagram), Relationship/Couples Counselling, training in Relationships and Sexuality (Tantra), Inner Child work, Group Work, Parts Work, Men’s Work, Psychodynamic Theory, Mindfulness, Somatic Meditation, and Transpersonal Psychology (where our thinking mind meets the essence of who we are). In any one session I draw on any or all of these approaches depending on what is right for you in the moment.

In addition to my training and experience working in private practice, I have had 30 years experience of consistently working through my own issues in a wide range of therapeutic settings, which I consider an essential part of what I can offer as a therapist.

I work as a Credentialled Therapist for Norwich Mind.

For those who are drawn to it, I also practice a hands-on bodywork technique called Zero Balancing, designed to release pain, stress, deep held tension and other unresolved personal history held in the body. Since the body and mind are so interconnected, some people find this complements talking therapy very well.
